Overdrive Indicator Lamp: Testing and Inspection

O/D OFF INDICATOR LIGHT INSPECTION 

Inspection of Operation 
1. Turn the ignition switch from OFF to ON position.

Note  The O/D OFF indicator light will illuminate if a malfunction exists in any of the EC-AT system components.

2. Verify that the O/D OFF indicator light is not illuminated.
3. Press the switch and verify that the O/D OFF indicator illuminates.

If the O/D OFF switch function is not as specified, after checking the O/D OFF switch, inspect the terminal voltage of the O/D OFF indicator
light.

Inspection of Voltage 
1. Remove the instrument cluster.
2. Turn the ignition switch on.

3. Measure voltage between terminal 1J and a ground.

Inspection of Continuity 
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.

3. Inspect continuity between terminal 2H and PCM terminal 43.

If not as specified, inspect the wiring harness (instrument cluster-PCM).

If it is as specified, go to the next step.
