3. Connect the negative battery cable.
4. Connect the data link connector terminals F/P and GND by using a jumper wire.
5. Turn the ignition switch to ON and measure the fuel line pressure.
Specification: 270 - 310 kPa (38 - 46 psi)
6. Turn off the ignition switch and disconnect the jumper wire.
7. If the pressure is higher than specified, check the fuel pump maximum pressure.
If normal, check the pressure regulator or fuel return hose for clogs.
8. If the pressure is lower than specified, measure the fuel line pressure while pinching the return hose.

If the fuel line pressure quickly increases, check the pressure regulator and PRC solenoid valve. If fuel line pressure gradually increases, check
the fuel pump maximum pressure.

If the fuel pump maximum pressure is normal, check the hose between the fuel pump and pressure regulator for clogs.
Fuel System Pressure Drop
WARNING: Fuel line spills and leaks are dangerous. Fuel can ignite and cause serious injuries or death and damage. Fuel can also irritate the
skin and eyes. To prevent this, always complete the "FUEL PRESSURE RELEASE PROCEDURE".
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Install a fuel pressure gauge between the fuel filter and the fuel distributor.(Install clamps as shown.)
3. Connect the negative battery cable.
4. Connect the data link connector terminals F/P and GND with a jumper wire.
