Wiper Motor: Testing and Inspection
Rear Wiper Motor Inspection
1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK while the rear wiper is operating.Verify that the rear wiper does not stop in the proper park position.
2. Remove the cargo compartment light.
3. Remove the liftgate lower trim.
4. Turn over liftgate screen.
5. Disconnect the rear wiper motor connector.
6. Check for continuity between the rear wiper motor terminals by using an ohmmeter.
7. Connect the rear wiper motor connector.
8. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
9. Turn the rear wiper switch off while the rear wiper is operating. Verify that the rear wiper stops in the park position.
10. Disconnect the rear wiper motor connector.
11. Check for continuity between the rear wiper motor terminals by using an ohmmeter.
12. Connect battery positive voltage to terminal A and ground to terminal B and the rear wiper motor body to operate the motor.
13. While the rear wiper motor is operating, remove the ground from terminal B. Verity that the auto stop function operates.
