Fuel Pump Relay: Testing and Inspection

1. Connect the SSTs (NGS tester) to the data link connector-2.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
3. Select "SIMULATION TEST' and press TRIGGER.
4. Select "IG ON TEST" and press TRIGGER.
5. Select "FP RLY" and press TRIGGER.
6. Press START.

7. Turn the fuel pump relay from OFF to ON and check if operation sound of the fuel pump relay is heard.
8. if the operation sound is not heard, check the fuel pump relay.
9. If the fuel pump relay is normal, check the following.

Wiring harnesses and connectors (Main relay - fuel pump relay - PCM)

1. Remove the fuel pump relay located next to PCM.
2. Inspect continuity between the fuel pump relay terminals by using an ohmmeter.

3. If not as specified, replace the fuel pump relay.See: Service and Repair
