INSPECTION
Steering Shaft (7)

Check for the following and replace the component if necessary.
1. Column bushing wear
2. Column bearing damage
3. Steering shaft length
Specified length 612 - 615 mm (24.09 - 24.21 inch).
Steering Lock Inspection (6)
1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
2. Verify that the key cannot be turned with the button pushed and can be turned with the button not pushed.
