AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID (ATF) REPLACEMENT 

WARNING:  
-

When the transmission and ATF are hot, they can badly burn. Turn off the engine and wait until they are cool before changing the ATF. 

1. On level ground, jack up the vehicle and support it evenly on safety stands.
2. Loosen the oil pan mounting bolts, and drain the ATF into a container.

3. Remove the oil pan and gasket.
4. Clean the oil pan and magnet.
5. Remove any old locking compound from the bolt holes.

6. Install the oil pan along with a new gasket.

CAUTION:

When installing sealant-covered bolts, tighten them immediately. Leaving these bolts in a half-installed condition could cause them to be stuck
that way, due to the natural hardening of the sealant.

7. Tighten new oil pan mounting bolts evenly and quickly.

Tightening torque 6.9-8.8 Nm (70-90 kgf-cm, 61-78 inch lbs.) 

8. Lower the vehicle and add approximately 4.0 L (4.2 US quart, 3.5 Imp quart) ATF.

ATF type M-II or equivalent (e.grams. Dexron(R)II) 

9. Check the ATF level.
