Valve Body: Service and Repair
CONTROL VALVE BODY ON-VEHICLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. Clean the transmission exterior thoroughly by using a steam cleaner or cleaning solvents.
2. Drain the ATF.
3. Remove the oil pan and gasket.
4. Remove the magnet from the oil pan.
5. Remove the clip by using a small flathead screwdriver.
6. Disconnect the torque converter clutch solenoid connector.
7. Remove the transmission fluid temperature sensor.
8. Remove the oil strainer.
9. Remove the O-ring from the oil strainer.
10. Separate the solenoid harness from the harness clip.
11. Remove the transmission fluid temperature switch. (4WD)
12. Remove bolts A and B and the bracket shown in the figure.
