DESCRIPTION
The paint surface of the side sill may be damaged at both ends of the stainless scuff plate. This scuff plate is installed as an accessary part.
The scuff plate is longer than the flat surface of the side sill. This length results in the scuff plate damaging the paint (and rust in some cases) at each end
of the side sill.
Customers complaining of this concern should have the scuff plate service kit installed.
NOTE:

If the vehicle's paint is damaged, repair using touch-up paint.

Body shop personnel should install the scuff plate service kit.
