Fuel Injector: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
WARNING: Fuel line spills and leaks are dangerous. Fuel can ignite and cause serious injuries or death and damage. Fuel can also
irritate skin and eyes. To prevent this, always complete the "Fuel Line Safety Procedures".

Disconnect the negative battery cable.

Disconnect the PCV hose.

Disconnect the vacuum hose.

Disconnect the fuel injector connectors.

Remove the fuel distributor and the pressure regulator.
Injector Grommet And Insulator

Remove the grommets, fuel injectors, and insulators.
INSTALLATION
Install in the reverse order of removal, referring to Installation note.
Tightening torque for Delivery pipe: 19 - 25 Nm (14 - 18 ft.lbs.)
Installation Note

Use new fuel injector 0-rings.
-
Apply a small amount of clean engine oil to the 0-rings before installing.
