Ignition Control Module: Testing and Inspection

IGNITION CONTROL MODULE (IGNITER) INSPECTION

1. Check for poor connection of the ignition coil, high-tension leads and the PCM.
2. Check the ignition coil and the high-tension leads.
3. Measure the voltage at the following PCM terminals.

4N ignition control module (No.1, 4)

4R ignition control module (No.2, 3)

4F, 4G camshaft position sensor (SGT, SGC signals)

3B mass air flow sensor

4. If all are normal, but misfire still occurs, replace the ignition coil.
