If not as specified, inspect the harness and connectors.

If these harness and connector and OK, replace the EGR boost sensor.
EGR Boost Signal Side

Connect the SSTs (NGS) to the data link connector-2.
-
Turn the ignition switch to ON (engine OFF).

Select the PID/DATA MONITOR AND RECORD function on the NGS display.

Select the "EGRB V" and apply vacuum of 20 kPa (5.9 in Hg) to EGR boost signal voltage.

Measure and record the EGR boost signal voltage.

Further apply vacuum to 43 kPa (12.7 in Hg).

Measure the EGR boost signal voltage. Verify the difference between the voltages noted in steps 5 and 7 is as specified.
Specification: Approx. 1.5 V

If not as specified, inspect the harness and connectors.

If these harness and connector are OK, replace the EGR boost sensor.
