Repair Procedure
1.
Verify the customer's complaint.
2.
Check the EGR boost sensor for disconnected vacuum hose or water/ice in vacuum hose.
If hose is disconnected, proceed to Condition A
If hose contains water or ice, proceed to Condition B
If neither condition is observed, contact the National Technical Hotline at (888) TEC-TIPS.
Condition A - Vacuum Hose Disconnected
1.
Remove old vacuum hose between the EGR boost sensor and the EGR valve.
2.
Install new hose and clamp it HOSE at the EGR valve as shown in the illustration.
3.
Verify the repair.
Condition B - Vacuum Hose Contains Water Or Ice
1.
Disconnect the old vacuum hose and wiring harness from the EGR boost sensor.
2.
Remove the EGR boost sensor from its bracket and retain the original bolt.
