If the radial runout is within specification, put an "L" mark on the point where the runout is smallest Proceed to step 4.
4.
Place a flat strip of duct tape around the center of the tire and measure runout using a dial indicator. Refer to Fig. 2.
5.
Put an "H" mark at the point where the runout is largest.
6.
Bleed the tires of air, and break tire bead from wheel.
7.
Align the "H" and "L" marks.
8.
Liberally apply soapy water (*) to the circumference of the wheel and bead seatings. Refer to Fig. 3
*"Liquid Dish Wash Soap" mixed at a 1/15 (soap to water) ratio is recommended.
9.
Raise the tire air pressure to 343kPa (3.5kgf/sq.cm, 50psi).
10.
Then, lower it to the specified tire air pressure (177 kPa 1.8 kgf/sq.cm, 26 psi).
11.
Balance wheels (wheel imbalance should be less than 10g).
12.
Verify the repair.
