Wheel Speed Sensor: Service and Repair
Toothed Ring
Front
1.
Remove wheel hub from axle.
2.
Using sensor rotor remover No. 490839425C or equivalent, remove sensor rotor from wheel hub.
3.
Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Install rotor with chamfered edge toward wheel hub.
b. Using press and rotor installer No. 49V001795 or equivalent, press on sensor rotor.
Rear
1.
Remove driveshaft from vehicle.
2.
Using chisel tap sensor rotor off driveshaft.
3.
Reverse procedure to install. Using press and rotor installer No. 49H026101A or equivalent, press rotor on to driveshaft.
