Wheel Speed Sensor: Testing and Inspection

1.

Using ohmmeter, check for continuity at control unit connector terminals, Fig. 40.

2.

If continuity is not as specified, Fig. 41, check wiring harness from wheel speed sensor to control unit.

3.

If continuity is as specified, check voltage between 1K and 1G, 1O and 1Q, 1U and 1F, 1L and 1P while rotating wheel one rotation per second.

4.

If voltage is not approximately 50 mV-60 mV, wheel speed sensor is faulty.

5.

If voltage is as specified, control unit is faulty.
