Test Connector/Data Link Connector: Testing and Inspection

Diagnosis Connector

Proper functioning of the Diagnosis Connector "TEN" terminal can be checked with Mazda System Selector (SST #49 B019 9A0) or equivalent
aftermarket tool.

1.

Connect SST to diagnosis connector and switch ignition "ON."

2.

With SST test switch set at "O2 MONITOR," voltage at ECU terminal 1K should be approximately 12V.

3.

With SST switch set at "SELF-TEST," voltage should be approximately 0V.

4.

If voltage is always approximately 0V, check for short circuit in wiring between diagnosis connector "TEN" terminal and ECU terminal 1K.

5.

If voltage is always approximately 12V, check for open circuit in wiring between "TEN" terminal and ECU terminal 1K, and/or between diagnosis
connector terminal "GND" and ground.
