Impact Sensor: Description and Operation
These sensors detect crash impact and complete electrical circuit to the airbag module. Crash sensors consist of a bias magnet, plated sensing mass and
electrical contacts. S and D type sensors are used in this system. The construction of the sensors is the same but, due to a difference is strength of their
bias magnet, their shock sensitivity is different.
