Fuel Pump Relay: Testing and Inspection
Fuel Pump (Fp) Operation Inspection

1. Open the fuse box cover.
2. Connect the SSTs (NGS tester) to the DLC-2.
3. Remove the fuel-filler cap.
4. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
5. Select the "SIMULATION TEST" function on the NGS display.

6. Turn the fuel pump relay (FP RLY) from OFF to ON using the "F/P RLY" and inspect if the operation sound is heard

If no operation sound is heard, measure the voltage at harness side fuel pump (FP) connector terminal B.

If the voltage is as specified, inspect the following.

FP continuity

FP GND

-

Wiring harness between FP RLY and PCM terminal 2M

-

If not as specified, inspect the following.
-

FP RLY

-

Wiring harness and connector Between main relay and FP RLY between FP RLY and FP

Specification: Battery positive voltage (ignition switch ON)
