Apply grease (designated for electrical terminal use) to the back of the key cylinder and black rubber grommet. Remove the white paper backing
from the bottom of the switch. Apply more grease to this area before installing the key cylinder (see Figure 3).

Install the new micro switch onto the key cylinder assembly. Care must be taken not to tear the black rubber grommet on the back of the switch.

NOTE: 

Grease should seep as shown when the new micro switch is installed on the assembly (see Figure 3).

Apply grease between the micro switch and the key lever and on the outside of the micro switch where the wire exists the switch (See Figure 4).

8.

Check continuity on the key cylinder switch before installing it in the door handle. The micro switch should close when you turn the key.

9.

Re-install the key cylinder according to the Workshop Manual and test the alarm to ensure it is working properly.
