APPLICABLE MODELS/VINS 
1993 - All 626 and MX-6 vehicles with power seat. 
1994 - Vehicles with power seat and a VIN of 1YVGE****R5141114 and lower. 

DESCRIPTION 
The driver's side power seat will not operate. This may be caused when the wiring harness for the power seat comes in contact with the seat frame.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
1.

Check the 30 amp power seat fuse located in the interior fuse box.

NOTE:

The fuse may have blown if the power seat harness grounds out on the seat track.

2.

If the fuse is blown, remove the left side knuckle cover as instructed in the workshop manual. If not, check for other causes of seat failure.

3.

Inspect the seat switch harness for signs of contact with the seat frame (bare or pinched wires). Repair as necessary.

4.

Tie-wrap the harness away from the frame as shown.

5.

Verify that the seat operates smoothly.
