This process number is not applicable to normal wear and tear of the brake pad. If the repair is performed after the 12 months from the
in-service date or after 12,000 miles you must inspect the remaining thickness of the removed pad. Refer to Fig. 1

If the remaining thickness is less than 3.0mm (0.1 in) it is considered normal wear and tear and pad replacement is not covered under warranty.

Your DCSM may inspect the remaining thickness of the replaced pad during the next visit. If the DCSM determines that the repair or claim is
not proper, the claim may be denied.
