1993-95 MX6 vehicles with a rear spoiler
DESCRIPTION
This bulletin contains instructions for servicing the high mount stop lamp integrated into the vehicle's rear spoiler.
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1.
Disconnect the wire harness to the high mount stop lamp.
2.
Remove the rear spoiler from the trunk.
3.
Remove the high mount stop lamp from the spoiler.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1.
Install the new high mount stop lamp to the rear spoiler.
Tighten the attaching screws to 6kg-cm (5 in.lbs.).
CAUTION:
Over torquing the attaching screws will crack the plastic lens.
2.
Route the wiring harness into the proper hole in the trunk lid.
3.
Install the rear spoiler onto the trunk lid.
4.
Connect the high mount stop lamp connector.
5.
Verity operation of the high mount stop lamp.
