Carefully pull back the water-proof panel enough to access the inside of the outer door handle.

5.

Remove the linkage from the door lock cylinder.

6.

Remove the lock cylinder clip and lock cylinder from the door handle

7.

Remove the screw from the back of the micro-switch and wire harness retainer.

8.

Remove the bulb from the recessed area in the door handle lock cylinder mounting hole.

NOTE:

Do not attempt to remove the bulb without removing the lock cylinder, wire harness damage will result.

9.

Remove the harness, micro-switch, harness and bulb as an assembly.

10.

Install a new assembly. Route the harness exactly where the original harness was removed. This will prevent interference with door lock linkage.

11.

Install door lock cylinder clip.

12.

Install door lock cylinder linkage.

13.

If applicable, connect battery and reset dock and audio stations.

14.

Verify repair.

15.

Install waterproof panel and door trim.
