Hold Pressure
WARNING:Before performing this procedure, release fuel pressure. Always keep sparks and flames away from fuel.
1.
Disconnect negative battery terminal.
2.
Install pressure gauge between fuel filter and main fuel hose.
3.
Reconnect battery.
4.
Ground data link connector terminal F/P with jumper wire.
5.
To run pump, turn ignition "ON" for 10 seconds.
6.
Turn ignition "OFF" and remove jumper wire.
7.
After 5 minutes, fuel pressure should be more than:
PRESSURE:21 psi (150 kPa)
8.
If not as specified, check:
a. Fuel pump hold pressure
b. Pressure regulator hold pressure
c. Injector leakage
