Fluid Pump: Service and Repair
Overhaul
DISASSEMBLY
1. Disassemble in the order shown in the illustration.
2. Inspect all parts and repair or replace as necessary.
INSPECTION
1. Use the Special Service Tool (SST) and a depth micrometer to measure the clearance between each gear and the pump body face.
2. The allowable clearance for each gear is 0.040 - 0.080 mm (0.0016 - 0.0031 inch). If the clearance exceeds the specification, replace the oil pump
assembly.
