Inspect the two spot welds. Refer to Fig. 1

If broken, proceed to step 4.

If not broken, inspect the area for other causes or refer to the workshop manual or NVH manual for troubleshooting instructions.
4.
Drill 1/4 inch (6 mm) hole through the top of the two (2) spot welds. Refer to Fig. 2.
5.
Remove metal shavings.
6.
Clean bracket with denatured alcohol and apply silicone sealer at both holes (To prevent rusting).
