Air Bypass Valve: Testing and Inspection
Checking Air Bypass Valve
1.
Remove air bypass valve.
2.
Connect vacuum pump to vacuum diaphragm port "A" (See illustration) and apply vacuum.
3.
Check that air flows through valve at "B" (see illustration) when applied vacuum is in the specified range.
9.8 - 15.7" Hg (250 - 400 mm)
If valve does not operate as specified, replace valve.
