Grasp one end (front or rear).
^
Use a slow steady pulling motion.
^
Pull the pre-mask tape at approximately 180 degrees from the vehicle's surface.
CAUTION:
Confirm that the pin stripe is not lifting during pre-mask tape removal. Re-squeegee the pin stripe to assure that any loose edges adhere to the body.
7.
Remove any blisters or air bubbles.

Use a sharp needle to pierce the bubble.
^
Use your thumb to press the pin stripe firmly against the body panel and work the air or water toward the hole.
8.
Remove adhesive residue under the pre-mask area using isopropyl alcohol and a soft clean cloth.

Door Molding
Replacement
1.
Completely clean the sheet metal surface around the molding using isopropyl alcohol and a soft clean cloth.
2.
Remove the molding one piece at a time (if possible) to assist in replacement molding alignment.

Use a nylon wedge such as a fiber stick.
^
Position wedge between the molding and the sheet metal and pull molding away using steady tension.
^
When several inches of molding are free, grasp the molding and pull slowly toward the front of the vehicle.
CAUTION:
Take care not to damage the vehicle paint or sheet metal. Repair any damage prior to installing new molding.
3.
Remove adhesive residue from the painted surface using isopropyl alcohol and a soft clean cloth.
NOTE:
Residue may be difficult to see and may still be present after removal attempts. To confirm that the residue is completely removed, use your hand to
gently feel the area around where the residue was present.
4.
Use clean water and rinse the area where the molding will attach.
5.
Remove adhesive backing from new molding.
6.
Align new molding evenly (fender, door or quarter panel) to match the opposite side of the vehicle.
