If broken, strip approximately 25 mm (1 in.) of protective covering from the wire on each side of The clip and repair the wire as shown in Fig.
2.

If not broken in that area, inspect the entire wire to identify the damaged area or refer to the work shop manual for instructions.

NOTE: 

After repair, do not route wires through the base clip.

Tape the switch harness to the illumination light harness as shown in Fig. 3

6.

Verify repair.

7.

Install front console.
