Apply grease to the following areas (Refer to Fig. 1):

Top of the dust cover.

Between the rubber bump stopper and the dust cover.
NOTE:

Before applying grease remove any rust or contamination from the interference area.

Do not use grease lubricants that may damage rubber. Use only commercially available silicone-based grease.
^
Spray lubricants that may wash off with road spray are not recommended.
3.
Slide the dust-cover and rubber bump stopper to the top of the strut rod.
4.
Lower the vehicle and road test to confirm repair.
