Mazda MX-6 LS V6-25L DOHC Workshop Service and Repair Manuals

1. Apply silicone sealant to the shaded areas as shown.

Thickness:  1.5 - 2.5 mm (0.060 - 0.098 inch)

2. Verify that the grooves on the cylinder head cover are free of oil, water and other foreign material.
3. Install the gasket onto the cylinder head cover.

4. Install the cylinder head cover and tighten the bolts in two or three steps in the order shown.
5. Recheck the torque of the bolts indicated, and tighten them if necessary. 

RH: 5, 6 
LH: 6, 7
Tightening torque:  5.1 - 8.8 Nm (50 - 90 kgf.cm, 44 - 78 ft. lbs.)
