Low Fuel Lamp/Indicator: Description and Operation

Fuel-level warning light

The fuel-level warning light illuminates to alert the driver of a low fuel condition. As the fuel level drops, the resistance of the fuel sender
decreases. The sender is tied to the fuel-level warning light and the fuel gauge within the instrument cluster. When the sender resistance drops
below a certain resistance, the fuel-level warning light applies power to the fuel-level warning light.
