6. Install the bound stopper.
7. Install the dust cover.
8. Install the upper rubber spring seat.
9. Install the upper spring seat, facing the direction indicator as shown.

10. Install the thrust bearing.
11. Install the mounting rubber, facing the direction indicator as shown.
12. Tighten the nut several turns.
13. Remove the SST.
14. Verify that the lower coil of the spring is seated on the step of the lower seat.

CAUTION:  To prevent damage to the mounting rubber, use protective plates in the jaws of the vise.

15. Secure the mounting rubber in a vise.
16. Tighten the nut to 90 - 116 Nm (66 - 86 ft. lbs.).
17. Install the cap.
