TWISTED SAFETY BELTS
DESCRIPTION
The seat belt webbing on manually operated restraint systems can become twisted at the "D" ring and/or at the "safety belt tongue."
This problem occurs when the belt or belt tongue is rotated during belt extension or retraction.
Follow the procedures listed in this bulletin to unravel twisted belts.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
Safety Belt Twisted at "D" Ring.
1.
Grasp the belt webbing at the "D" ring as shown on the right side of Figure 1.
2.
Rotate and fold the belt webbing over itself as required to remove the twist.
