Dashpot: Adjustments

1.

Start engine and warm up to operating temperature.

2.

Slowly open throttle by hand, gradually increasing engine speed.

3.

Note that throttle lever loses contact with dashpot plunger when engine speed is approx. 3,500 rpm.

4.

If not, loosen locking nut and turn dashpot until proper position is obtained, then tighten locknut. 

5.

Repeat adjustment if necessary so that dashpot and throttle lever make contact at the specified engine speed.
