Fig. 7 Lower Arm Front Bushing Removal

Using tools shown in Fig. 7, remove lower arm front bushing.

Using tools shown in Fig. 8, install lower arm front bushing. Press in bushing in direction of arrow.

Inspect lower ball joint as follows:
a. With lower arm in vise, attach preload measuring tool No. 490180510B or equivalent. With ball stud rotating, pull scale should read 4.4-7.7 ft.

lbs. If pull scale reading is not as specified, replace ball joint.

Assemble lower arm reversing numbered sequence, Figs. 5 and 6.
