Axle Shaft Assembly
Position End Clip Gap Up
1. Taking care not to damage the dust cover or oil seal, install the driveshaft with the end-gap of the clip facing upward.
2. Install lower ball joint.
Torque Tie Rod End Bolt
3. Taking care not to damage the dust boot, install the tie rod nut. Torque to 31 - 42 ft.lbs (42 - 57 Nm) and secure with new cotter pin.
