Parking Brake Lever: Service and Repair

PARKING BRAKE (LEVER TYPE) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION 

1. Remove the rear console.

2. Remove in the order indicated in the table.

3. Install in the reverse order of removal indicated in the table.

4. After installation, adjust the parking lever stroke.

Parking Brake Switch Installation Note (4) 

1. Install the parking brake switch so that it contacts the parking brake lever when the lever is fully released.

2. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and verify that the brake warning light illuminates with the lever pulled up one notch.
