Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming: Service Precautions

DISARMING THE AIRBAGS

1. Turn the ignition switch to lock.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Wait for more than ONE MINUTE to allow the backup power supply of the SAS unit to deplete its stored power.

ARMING THE AIRBAGS

1. Re-connect the battery negative cable.
2. Turn the ignition switch to on, and check Air Bag System Warning light for proper operation.
