Protege LX L4-1489cc 1.5L DOHC MFI (1998)
12. Install the control valve body as shown.
Tightening torque 7.9 - 10.7 Nm (80 - 110 kgf-cm, 70 - 95 inch lbs.)
Bolt length (measured from below the head)
A: 30 mm (1.18 inch)
C: 50 mm (1.97 inch)
13. Connect the solenoid connectors.
14. Remove any old sealant from the transaxle case and the oil pan.
15. Apply sealant to the transaxle case and the oil pan.
16. Install the gasket and the oil pan.
Tightening torque 8.4 - 10.7 Nm (85 - 110 kgf-cm, 74 - 95 inch lbs.)
17. Install the engine mounting member.
18. Loosely install bolts A and B.
Tightening torque
A: 64 - 89 Nm (6.5 - 9.1 kgf-m, 48 - 65 ft. lbs.)
B: 38 - 51 Nm (3.8 - 5.2 kgf-m, 28 - 37 ft. lbs.)
19. Install the transverse member. <BP>
Tightening torque 94 - 131 Nm (9.5 - 13.4 kgf-m, 69 - 97 ft. lbs.)
20. Remove the SST from the engine.
21. Pour in ATF, and with the engine idling, inspect the ATF level and inspect for leaks.
22. Carry out the time lag test and line pressure test.
