Brake Caliper: Service and Repair
Removal/Installation
Front
1.
Raise and support front of vehicle.
2.
Remove tire and wheel assembly.
3.
On four piston caliper, remove pad pins, springs and pads.
4.
On all models, remove lockpin bolt.
5.
Disconnect and cap brake line.
6.
Lift caliper assembly from brake disc.
7.
Reverse procedure to install.
Rear
1.
Raise and support rear of vehicle.
2.
Remove tire and wheel assembly.
3.
Remove lockpin bolt.
4.
Disconnect and cap brake lines.
5.
Remove caliper from brake disc.
6.
Reverse procedure to install.
