1.

Secure joint assembly into a suitable vise.

2.

Pry up locking clip with a screwdriver and remove clip ban, Fig. 3.

3.

Slide boot along shaft to expose the joint.

4.

Remove clip.

5.

Remove snap ring.

6.

Remove balls, inner ring and cage from shaft as an assembly.

7.

Insert a suitable screwdriver between the inner ring and cage to remove the balls.

8.

Turn cage approximately 30° and separate it from the inner ring.

9.

Wrap spline shaft with tape, then remove boot.
