When the float is moved to the "DOWN" position, continuity should exist. (fig. 2)

If the proper results are not obtained in steps "a" and "b", replace the sensor.

Install the sensor and fill the engine with oil.

Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position, the oil level warning light should come on. (fig. 3)

If the warning light does not turn "ON", the light bulb, fuse and/or the related wiring harness should be inspected and repaired.

Start the engine, the warning light should turn "OFF".

Disconnect the coupler from the sensor and ground the disconnected coupler while the engine is idling. The warning light should turn "ON".
