Air Solenoid Valve: Testing and Inspection
Split Air Solenoid Valve

1.

Connect a voltmeter to split air solenoid valve terminal (LR) and ground Fig. 9.

2.

Turn ignition switch to On position, then shift transmission to 5th gear and observe voltmeter.

3.

Voltmeter should indicate 12 volts in 5th gear and zero voltage in all other gears.
