Canister Purge Control Valve: Testing and Inspection
1.
Disconnect purge valve to oil filler pipe hose at purge valve.
2.
Start engine and allow to idle.
3.
Position finger over open port of valve. Air should not be drawn into port.
4.
Increase engine speed to 2000 RPM and observe air flow. Air should be drawn into open port. If air is not drawn in, replace valve.
