DESCRIPTION
A service part and suggested repair time for the replacement of the antenna mast have been established as follows. If the customer complains about an
inoperative power antenna, perform appropriate troubleshooting according to this Service Bulletin first to avoid unnecessary part replacement.

TROUBLESHOOTING
1.
Basic idea of the power antenna operation.
When the radio is turned "ON", the ground circuit of the antenna relay is completed through the radio.
The antenna relay turns the antenna motor "ON" and "OFF".
NOTE:
The wiring diagram shown is for illustration purpose only. This is not intended to represent the actual diagram.
2.
Troubleshooting for an inoperable power antenna.
a)
Check if there is power to the radio.

If the display illuminates, go to Step b).

If the display does not illuminate, check the audio fuse (20A) in the fuse box or related wire.
