Air/Fuel Mixture: Adjustments

NOTE: Before adjusting the idle mixture follow these directions:

1.

Turn off all electrical accessories.

2.

Connect tachometer to engine.

3.

Start engine and run until it reaches normal operating temperature.

4.

Connect jumper wire to terminals of initial set coupler Fig. 28.

NOTE: Connect tachometer to service coupler (black wire, black connector) at trailing side coil with igniter Fig. 29. If tachometer does not function
correctly on trailing side coil with igniter, reconnect at leading side coil with igniter (black wire terminal). If using an inductive (secondary pickup)
type tachometer, connect it only at the trailing side high tension leads.
