Turbo Boost Sensor: Testing and Inspection

1.
Disconnect vacuum hose from boost sensor.
2.
Connect voltmeter to terminal D of boost sensor, Fig. 80.
3.
Using vacuum pump tester, apply 3.9 inches Hg of vacuum to boost sensor.
4.
Turn on ignition switch and observe voltmeter.
5.
If voltage is not 3.5-4.5 volts on 1986 models, or 2.5-3.5 volts on 1987-88 models, replace sensor.
