Sub-Zero Starting Device: Testing and Inspection

1.

Make sure there is sufficient starting assist fluid in the tank. Refill if necessary.

2.

Disconnect the "S" terminal connector from the starting motor.

3.

Remove the valve From the intake manifold, Fig. 24 on non-turbo models Fig. 31 on turbo models.

4.

Turn the ignition key to the START position and make sure that the starting assist fluid does not spray from the valve. Ambient temperature should
be above -20 to -12°C (-4 to 10.4°F).
