DESCRIPTION

Idle hunting sometimes occurs after cold start. This condition is likely to occur when the coolant temperature is approximately 59~ -97~F (15~ -37~C).

If you encounter a customer complaining about idle hunting on a 1989-1990 RX-7 Turbo, you are requested to repair the problem according to the repair
procedure in this bulletin.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1.

Remove the air hose from the air bypass valve.

2.

Attach the orifice onto the air bypass valve where the air hose was removed as illustrated below.

NOTE:
If the air hose is removed after the orifice is installed, the orifice will be left in the air hose. Remove the orifice from die air hose and install it
as described in step 2.
